Scanning with a Mobile Device

At Eleplan, uploading important documents to your account plays a key role in creating a clear and complete plan. One of the easiest ways to do this is by using the scanning features built into your phone or tablet.

Scanning with an iPhone or iPad

If you have an Apple device, you can use the built-in Notes app to scan documents clearly and easily.

How to scan with Notes:

Open the Notes app.
Create a new note or open an existing one.
Tap the camera icon above the keyboard and select Scan Documents.
Point your camera at the document. It will automatically capture the scan, or you can tap the shutter button.
Adjust the corners if needed, then tap Keep Scan.
Once finished, tap Save.

You can then tap the scanned document and use the Share icon to email it to yourself, save it to Files, or upload it directly into Eleplan if using your device's browser.

Scanning with an Android Phone or Tablet

Most Android devices support document scanning using the Google Drive app, which is pre-installed on many devices.

How to scan with Google Drive:

Open the Google Drive app.
Tap the + (plus) button in the bottom-right corner.
Select Scan.
Take a photo of the document using your camera.
Adjust the crop and color settings as needed, then tap Save.
Choose a name for the file and tap Save again to upload it to Drive.

Once saved, you can share the file via email, save it to your device, or open Eleplan in your browser and upload it directly from your Drive or downloads.

Tips for a Good Scan:

Use a flat, well-lit surface.
Ensure the document fills most of the screen.
Avoid shadows or reflections across the page.
Use high contrast (black ink on white paper) for handwritten notes.

By using your mobile device to scan and upload documents, you can keep your Eleplan updated quickly and efficiently. If you need any help with uploading files, our support team is here to assist you.
